The Winning Formula Challenge pits the world’s top programmers against each other in the race to write an algorithm that will successfully handicap the world’s most unpredictable sport: NCAA football.

Prizes will be awarded to the season winner and possibly to the next nine finishers. Weekly prizes will also be awarded, even for the "preseason" weeks. While the prize breakout is to be determined, there will be a total of $100,000 awarded!

Motorola foundation announces Motorola Scholar Program to select scholars from technical colleges and technical schools based on a project in the areas of Digital Communications (technologies / architectures /protocols / end devices suitable for rural areas and innovative applications particularly to problems in rural areas/of disadvantaged population). Selections will be done by FOUNDATION for ADVANCEMENT of EDUCATION and RESEARCH. It consists of two stages:

Stage 1:
FAER will receive project proposals from students in engineering colleges, screen them with the help of experts and select projects for funding a seed grant up to a maximum of Rs. 5,000/-

Stage 2:
Selection of “Motorola Scholars” based on the evaluation of the completed projects through a seminar and awards function

Deadline for submission of hardcopy of project proposals: October 31, 2008

As part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations, DRDO is conducting a nationwide student level competition for engineering students for the design / development of an innovative engineering product to nurture design engineering ideas of the student community..

BE/BTech Engineering students in 3rd/4th year of engineering and M Tech/ME students are eligible to participate. The nomination from students must be endorsed by the Head of the Engineering College/ Institution.

Theme for the innovative product:
